Foundations of Team Leadership: Pathway to Success Programme
About this programme
This qualification is for people who have the potential to be appointed to team leadership roles or who have recently become a team leader. This qualification will provide New Zealand workplaces with people who have the skills and knowledge to contribute to effective team performance and the potential to be effective in a leadership role within a team.
This programme is run by RMG under a contractual arrangement with Te Pūkenga – Work-based Learning.
What you will learn

Who should attend?
It is targeted at those currently working in industry that either currently hold, have recently been appointed, or are looking to progress to positions such as supervisors, team leaders, health & safety reps, leading hands, or future managers.

This programme leads into the NZ Certificate in Business (First Line Management) (Level 4).
Admission Information
All participants must have access to a workplace mentor and full support of the business to conduct a team performance improvement project.

Delivery and Costs
Venue: This 4-day course is held regularly across the country, or can be delivered on premises at your workplace for 8 or more enrolments providing maximum flexibility and minimal disruption.
Costs: $1,300 (plus GST) per person (if ITO subsidy applies) may also incur travel disbursements
Costs: $2,100 (plus GST) per person (non-funded/user pays) may also incur travel disbursements
All costs above include a NZ Certificate – Te Pūkenga programme plus registered NZQA unit standards.

About this programme
This qualification will provide New Zealand workplaces with people who can manage teams effectively to achieve organisational goals when employed in first-line management roles in diverse workplaces.
This programme is run by RMG under a contractual arrangement with Te Pūkenga – Work-based Learning.
What you will learn
Graduates will be able to:

Manage workflows in an operational context to achieve team objectives.
Assess against agreed criteria and respond appropriately to achieve operational objectives. - People skills
Motivate and involve a team to achieve the team’s objectives and contribute to the entity’s objectives.
Communicate to develop relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Manage relationships within a team to sustain a productive workplace environment.
Promote an inclusive environment to value diversity for positive performance for the entity. - Affective skills
Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviour in a socially and culturally appropriate manner in leading a team. - Business environment
