About this programme
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the manufacturing sector with people who have foundation
skills and knowledge to work in entry level operational, or non-operational roles in the manufacturing sector. This programme is run by RMG under contractual arrangement with Te Pūkenga – Work Based Learning.

What you will learn
Graduates will be able to:
• Apply an awareness of workplace processes and practices to effectively participate in a manufacturing
operation
• Meet basic health and safety workplace requirements relevant to an entry level role in manufacturing
• Follow instructions and carry out entry level tasks in a manufacturing operation
Qualification Gained
New Zealand Certificate in Manufacturing (Level 2)
Who should attend
It is targeted at those currently working in a general manufacturing or general food processing operation
production or processing lines.

Training Progression
This programme leads into the New Zealand Certificate in Manufacturing (Level 3) and /or the NZ Certificate
in Business (Introduction to Team Leadership) (Level 3) / (First Line Management) (Level 4)
Admission Information
All applicants are required to be employed AND in a role that allows them to complete programme specific
outcomes.

About this programme
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the manufacturing sector with people who have the knowledge
and skills to work as an operator in a manufacturing plant, under limited sup. This programme is run by RMG under contractual arrangement with Te Pūkenga – Work Based Learning.
